Whale Tail Let Captain Jim Maya (the bold, safe, caring, skilled, humorous, handsome, courageous, and very modest retired teacher) be your host for the most unique and intimate Orca whale watching and wildlife viewing experience the San Juan Islands has to offer.

Captain Jim, a lifelong naturalist, has more experience as a whale watch captain than any other captain on San Juan Island (located off the coast of Washington State). Maya's Charters has been in business since 1997 and Captain Jim has been taking folks out to see Orcas on the waters of the San Juans since 1988.

Our whale watching cruise tour operates out of beautiful Snug Harbor at the end of Mitchell Bay Road.
